Polyus finishes buyback program, acquires only 0.05% shares
MOSCOW, Jul 29 (PRIME) -- Russian gold producer Polyus has finished its buyback program announced in January after acquiring only 69,564 shares, or 0.05% of the equity, the company said in a statement on Friday.
“Polyus informs about finishing the program to buy back the company’s ordinary shares, including depositary receipts… from the open market,” the statement read. Polyus planned to back up to U.S. $200 million of its shares, but no more than 1.4% of the equity, during six months.
